A PIM, MAM, CMS and cross-media solution was implemented for Meusburger based on the crossbase standard software. Over 80,000 articles are continuously imported with prices and master data via the XML interface from Infor LN. In crossbase, the articles are classified in the product structure and additional technical features and product relationships, e.g. set parts lists, are maintained. In order to use the products in the print catalogs and online stores in a market-specific manner, they are referenced in marketing-specific product views for the corresponding sales channels.


The integrated MAM enables product photos, dimensional drawings, graphics and assembly photos to be managed and automatically converted into other image formats using the graphics converter. Other images, documents and videos are managed in a product-independent media structure (e.g. image picture). Bulleted texts are automatically generated from reusable document modules. The translation of technical terms and continuous advertising texts is based on the TMS interface to Trados, and corrections are made in-country.


Product information is provided directly for the Spryker store system via the crossbase API server. The market-specific requirements are served by catalogs in which the country, language, product range and output structure are personalized.


The multilingual print media are produced automatically and with database support using the crossbase print engine and InDesign. They consist of product pages with a modular structure and editorial pages with a free layout. In total, there are seven catalogs with over 4,000 pages, each in five languages, which are constantly updated. In addition, new product brochures, promotional flyers, data sheets and training documents are automatically generated with crossbase. Meusburger is self-sufficient and controls the entire print production itself.


The media service is integrated on the basis of the crossbase CMS platform. Images and documents are distributed to partners, customers and employees worldwide via the media service according to authorization - over 25 countries are connected. This involves product information, company information, videos and technical documentation.
